Cottage Cheese Salad is a unique side dish that is full of fresh, delicious ingredients and could not be simpler to make!
In a flat dish, place 1 cup of the dry curd cottage cheese and with a fork, mash the large curds into smaller pieces. Empty into a large bowl and continue with the next cup of dry curd cottage cheese. Once all of the dry curd cottage cheese has been mashed, add in the cup of sour cream and blend well. You can add more in if you would like to the desired consistency. Add the green onions to the mixture as well as the dill. Depending on your personal preference, you can add more or less dill, or omit it if you would rather. Next, add in the salt and pepper to taste. Use sea salt if possible as plain cottage cheese is quite bland and really could use a healthy dose of salt to spice it up! Once it is all mixed in together, cover and place in the fridge for a few hours before serving.
